UPH Wins Second Place in Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition Indonesian Rounds

FH has again qualified to compete in the International Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. The FH team which ranked first during the preliminary rounds joins champion Universitas Indonesia and observer team UGM to represent Indonesia in the competition which will be held in Washington DC on 9-15 April 2017. The team is composed of Bernice Koean (2014), Rica Dharma (2014), Hanna Yovita (2015), Indira Kantiana (2015), and Tiffany Aurelia (2016). Rica, Bernice, Hanna and Indira also won the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 10th Best Oralists of the competition. The 2017 FH Jessup team is coached by alumni Roselyn Winata, Dinna Margaretha, Johan Kurnia and Astrid Desmonda.


The team would like to thank the faculty particularly Dr. Bintan Saragih, John Riady, Velliana Tanaya and team advisor Jessica Los Banos for their continued support and guidance. Special thanks also to the ILMCC, friends, parents and family, and 2014 batch including Thomas, Valerie, Amanda, Benedik, and Abram Pambudi who came all the way to Yogyakarta to support the team.


The Jessup National Rounds which was held at the Universitas Gadjah Mada over the weekend is also sponsored by the Indonesian Society of International Law (ISIL) whose directors include UPH Alumni, Angel, Jevon Gasali, incoming ISIL managing director, and Michael August Nugraha.
